313fm Product & Service Quality Audit

Service or product quality are one of the core values of today’s enterprises. In any form of corporate competition that involves added value, it will ultimately be quality that determines how far an enterprise can go, not price.

Adopting total quality management can also increase market acceptance and awareness, reduce operating and on-site maintenance costs, and improve the overall efficiency of an enterprise. In addition, it can reduce the need for accident liability and protect a company’s brand value.

As the scale of a company increases, so too will the number of its stores or branches. Quality supervision of its products or services will therefore become a key task for company management.

313fm is not only suitable for helping manufacturing companies improve their product quality management system, but can also help service providers monitor their service quality.

Service-oriented companies – Are people and equipment on site providing the proper services? Is machinery being maintained in line with company procedures?

Product-oriented companies – Do our products comply with quality requirements? Are defective product issues followed up in a timely manner?

These problems need to be monitored and managed by means of a systematic sampling system, and 313fm can be used to solve all of these issues in an effective, efficient way.
  1. Taking the home improvement industry as an example (which might include such activities as house decoration, floor laying, custom cabinet installation etc.), some of the work will be carried out by outsourced suppliers. Similarly, during the construction period, on-site spot checks are required from time to time to ensure all project activities are properly coordinated. When all activities are completed, final on-site acceptance is also needed. We can post electronic NFC tags at all locations where decoration is being carried out, and create spot check and project acceptance templates using the 313fm Work Order Module. During project execution, random checks can be arranged by the person responsible for these activities. He or she can scan the NFC tags using the App – then they can sign-in and conduct random door-to-door inspections to assess project progress and quality.
  1. After project completion, an acceptance work order is created for the relevant person; this can also be accessed by scanning the NFC tag. The acceptance procedure is then carried out according to the criteria displayed in the App. If the acceptance criteria are not met, and the project does not pass, it will be handed back to the construction side for rectification. Once this is complete, another acceptance work order will be generated and the acceptance procedure can be started once more.
  1. In the manufacturing industry, a finished product must first undergo a certain amount of quality inspection sampling. Taking a textile and clothing manufacturer as an example, a Clothing Inspection Checklist is a document provided to the textile manufacturer and their suppliers, which clearly outlines all product specifications and quality requirements for a particular product. This checklist should be formulated before any production begins, and used on-site as a reference guide for manufacturers and suppliers throughout the production process. Items of clothing must therefore undergo a standardized process of sample inspections before they can be delivered to customers. A QR-Code can be created within 313fm for each production batch of clothing, and posted in the warehouse where that batch is stored. A sample inspection work order will be generated for the quality inspector, who uses the App to scan the QR-Code of the designated batch. The items within the work order can be listed based on the clothing inspection list to ensure no inspection item is left out.
  1. Another example is a chain restaurant company that needs to supervise its franchise stores. The 313fm Work Order template can be used to generate a work order sample inspection template. Since the inspection time in this case will be fairly irregular, it will be more appropriate to use the flexible standard work order rather than an inspection work order. When the head office needs to carry out a spot check, the requisite work order can be generated directly and an inspector can perform a surprise inspection. The inspector will use the app to scan the NFC tags that have been posted in each store, and can then perform spot checks on individual inspection items. He or she can take photographs as evidence to complete the random store inspection.
  1. In another example, service providers may need to be dispatched to site, such as when carrying out spot safety checks on construction sites. Here we can also use the 313fm Work Order Module: safety officers can carry out unannounced spot checks, checking whether site personnel arrive on time and follow safety regulations for example. 313fm’s Scan and Locate function is very effective here: you do not need to specify the inspection location, simply scanning the NFC label will provide the details on which site is being inspected, and the spot check can then be carried out accordingly.
